Tonight's episode of The Flash brought a familiar face back to STAR Labs.

Spoilers for tonight's episode of The Flash, "Luck Be A Lady", below

Tonight's episode saw Team Flash's fun games and lunch outing in the park interrupted by a breach alert back at STAR Labs. The breach turns out to be something Wally was expecting, as it was his scheduled date night with Jesse Quick, his girlfriend who happens to be The Flash on Earth-2. Except the person steps out of the breach isn't Jesse. It's her dad, Harrison "Harry" Wells (Tom Cavanagh) instead.

Harry's return may be a welcome one for Team Flash generally, but Wally isn't happy to see his girlfriend's dad. You see, Harry comes bearing a "break-up cube" with a message from Jesse ending their relationship.

Breaking up aside, Harry's return is sure to delight fans. Cavanagh is a fan favorite who has played multiple versions of his Harrison Wells character since The Flash premiered in 2014. Cavanagh first played the evil Eobard Thawne disguised as scientist Harrison Wells, before shifting gears to portray Earth-2's version of Wells, nicknamed Harry by the still-traumatized team in Season Two. When Harry returned home to Earth-2 following the defeat of Zoom, Cavanagh brought Earth-19's version, H.R., to life in Season Three.

With H.R.'s death at the end of last season, fans wondered if Cavanagh would return for the show's fourth season and, if so, what version of Wells they'd get, and this summer, Cavanagh himself confirmed that he would be returning to The Flash, first as Harry, though the door could be open for yet another new take on the staple character on The CW superhero series.

"There is stuff that's involved with this season, that we're talking about, [about] how Wells might become a different version of Wells," Cavanagh said. "But I think that's a storyline too far from me to give up, but you'll see it!"

The Flash fans will just have to wait to see what Harry is doing back on Earth-1, and if he's the only Wells we'll see.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
