'The Flash' Debuts First Looks at Elongated Man, Breacher, and More in "Therapy" Trailer
The Flash is officially back on our television screens, and The CW just debuted an awesome tease [...]
Elongated Man
Perhaps the biggest reveal of the trailer is the first glimpse at Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer), best known as the DC Comics hero Elongated Man.
Dibny is described as "one of the Flash's most iconic allies," who is a "fast-talking private investigator with investigative skills that rival those of Batman. Upon discovering he has the power to stretch his body to any shape or form, Dibny uses his new abilities to help Team Flash solve one of Central City's greatest mysteries."
Dibny is only seen in the trailer for a hot second, remarking that he sees The Flash in the casino they're in (a setting that will tie into another character in this slideshow), before accidentally whacking a lady in the face. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he has his elongating powers quite yet, but stay tuned to see when they develop, and exactly how Dibny enters the fold of Team Flash.

Another noteworthy DC Comics character that can be seen in the trailer is Breacher, played by none other than Danny Trejo.
Breacher is described as "a feared bounty hunter from Earth-19 and the imposing father to inter-dimensional bounty hunter, Gypsy (Jessica Camacho)." With Gypsy continuing to appear on the show this season -- largely thanks to her 'long distance' relationship with Cisco Ramon/Vibe (Carlos Valdes) -- Breacher's arrival is sure to further complicate things.
"Well, we just thought it would be a great episode," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg explained in a recent interview. "Gypsy and Jessica, they're so tough and so strong. We're like, 'Obviously she came from somebody strong,' and we just thought it would be a hilarious idea for Cisco, who's managed to melt Gypsy's heart, being unable to do the same with her father."
What's also of note here is Breacher's costume, which doesn't exactly resemble the Iron Man-like mech suit he can be seen wearing in the modern comics. Instead, he opts for a more traditional, leather ensemble -- something that feels fitting, considering Trejo's badass place in the pop culture landscape.

And finally, the trailer gives us a glimpse at one of The Flash's upcoming villains of the week: Rebecca Sharpe/Hazard (Sugar Lyn Beard).
Hazard is described as "perpetually down-on her luck and is convinced her life is cursed — until a freak accident changes everything. With the universe on her side, she poses a threat to both Team Flash and Central City."
Hazard has appeared throughout the DC Comics mythos as a member of the Injustice Society, and was the granddaughter of the original Gambler. The antagonist is bestowed with psionic powers, which allow her to cause good or bad "accidents" to her foes.
While she's usually seen in a rather flamboyant card dealer outfit, she can be seen in a black ensemble, as The Flash tries to capture her inside a casino. Is this the same casino Ralph was seen in? Probably, but fans will have to wait until the season's third episode, "Luck Be A Lady", to find out.
