While the main crux of Justice League will be about forming the team to fight in Superman’s stead, it will also highlight how these heroes deal with working together with other metahumans.

This is especially true of Batman, who has always been more of a lone wolf. Producer Deborah Snyder was asked if Justice League was a brighter movie than Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (via our onsite reporter Brandon Davis).
“It’s about teamwork and creating this family and everything,” Snyder said. “So I think that is definitely more positive. And it’s about building people up now. That’s what the themes are I think.”
Producer Charles Roven expounded on Snyder’s comments, saying, “I think the theme that you’re gonna see is an emotional conviction, but again as far as he’s concerned he not only has to honor his memory, there’s an imminent threat. And he needs to get this group to join him and then they need to come up with some solutions, and that’s really the focus on the story. And the emotional coming together of this group and his ability to fulfill what he feels he needs to fulfill is the focus of his character.”
Snyder emphasized Batman again, saying, “Also the fact that he was so solitary for so long and really in the shadows, that he’s learning to trust people. That’s a big thing.”
Their teamwork will be even more important once Superman gets thrown back into the mix, and it will be interesting to see the leadership dynamic come into play as well. All three are strong personalities, and it should be entertaining to watch that play out.
