Speaking of superpowersโฆ Our unique strengths help us *normals* succeed in everyday battles, but what’s wrong with wishing for real superhuman abilities?
As an official partner of the Wonder Woman film, thinkThin, a leader in protein-focused nutrition products, asked 1,000 women of diverse ages and backgrounds which superpowers they’d love to haveโand the results reveal more than you think.
63 percent of women admitted they’d love to have a positive superpower. (The other 20% must have already found their calling in life!) Of those dreamers, invisibility was the top coveted power, followed by the desire to fly and have telepathic ability. Sneaky, sneaky?
Regardless of the power they most desire, over two thirds of women would use their superpower to be in two places at once. Also, nearly half say they’d use their advantage to be brilliant at work. Put these two top wishes together, and one thing is clear: women have way too much on their plates, but they strive to excel in all areas, regardless of the time crunch.
The survey showed that women admire Wonder Woman most of all female superheroes, but they’d opt for functionality over fashion if put in her shoes. Overwhelmingly, ladies would build their own costume choosing a headband over a tiara, pants over skirt, and shield over cape.
If put in Wonder Woman’s shoes, 48 percent would most like to use the heroine’s golden lasso of truth. That’s one way to get down to the bottom of things quickly!
And another major costume detail women would model after Wonder Woman? No mask hiding their faces! Is this a punch to declare that ladies deserve credit for all their accomplishments, not to be overlooked or overshadowed? We sure hope so.
Finally, when asked to pick Wonder Woman’s soulmate, there was a resounding “Not answering!” across all age groups. A stark contrast to most female-driven characters, the women answered that Wonder Woman needs no man to define her. Independent women, for the win!
While we anxiously wait to see Wonder Woman the warrior princess onscreen, how about we discover our own super abilities with some help from thinkThin?
One lucky fan’s super wish has already come true as she learned to ‘breathe underwater’ with scuba certification lessons, courtesy of the nutritional advocates.
“We love that Wonder Woman has super strength and we’re proud to offer delicious products that give women the everyday strength they need to power through their day,” said Michele Kessler, the president of thinkThin.
The company will award three more fans with a surprise leading up to the movie’s release, and four fans have a chance to win a swag bag of thinkThin products and movie gift certificates.
