Nicalis knows how to treat Nintendo Switch owners right. When the indie publisher announced it was bringing classics The Binding of Isaac and Cave Story to the system, fans were happy, but not exactly driven wild with excitement. Sure, these are great games, but they've been around for a while and are on plenty of other platforms.

Thankfully, Nicalis is going the extra mile to make these games feels special on Nintendo Switch. The Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ came in a sweet boxed retail version, which included a full-color manual, stickers, and all sorts of other fun swag. Well, it seems Nicalis is giving Cave Story the same treatment.

The retail version of Cave Story+ for Nintendo Switch will include a full-color, 32-page manual, one of three PVC keychains, a little carrying pouch for said keychain (or whatever else you want to put in there), and a mini soundtrack CD. Check out the collection, below!

Pretty sweet, huh? Nicalis also posted some additional unboxing photos.

For the record, Cave Story+ includes the updated graphics and modes from the WiiWare version of the game, a remastered sound track, and an exclusive level. Cave Story is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'll admit, this goodie-packed version is very tempting. I've been meaning to replay the game anyways!

Cave Story+ hits Nintendo Switch on June 20. The version with the keychain, soundtrack CD and all the other goodies is exclusive to GameStop.
