The surprise Nintendo Direct earlier this week gave a ton of insight into immediate future plans, especially for the Springtime window. With Donkey Kong returning, Super Mario Odyssey DLC, and tons more – there was a lot to be excited about. Unfortunately, not everyone can be happy and many feel that this was a flop in comparison to what the Big N could have done for their first big debut in 2018. Where are the games promised? The games circulating through the internet as far as juicy rumors? Though the Dark Souls rumor came to fruition, what about everything else?

According to several circulating forums posts, the mini Direct was just that … a mini, meant to be a prelude to a much bigger conference. Thanks to one Reddit user, we can expect a much bigger Direct within the next 20 days. Titled “Each Direct Mini has always been followed by a “standard” Direct within 20 days,” user Natzore provided an interesting timeline to back up his theory of more to come in the near future:

The numbers provided come from a detailed list on Wikipedia giving us an pattern to follow to see what else Nintendo has under their sleeve. It does fall in line with previous patterns, and does explain why some of the bigger reveals rumored to be on the way were glaringly missing from the Nintendo Direct Mini earlier this week.
If this was the mini, the full one is sure to be incredibly impressive. And believe us, Nintendo is more than aware of the hype revolving their direct – they even took to directly trolling fans when the Nintendo Direct Reddit pretty much imploded on itself with speculation regarding what the Big N could be revealing to us! Don’t believe us with the hype? Just check out the Reddit thread that this timeline came from. You’ll never read the words “Hype Train” so many times in subsequent order.
Should we be getting a full Nintendo Direct in the coming weeks? All sources port to a yes!
