ARK: Survival Evolved is a relatively popular dino survival game that lets you even equip sharks with lasers, and if you don't think that's cool then there's nothing else we can really say. Aside from the less realistic portion of the title, being able to survive out in the wilds with some of the most majestic (and deadly) dinosaurs is a unique experience that many have enjoyed since the game left Early Access. Because of the nature of the game, it has left many players curious as to whether it is planning to make the leap over to the portable Nintendo Switch or not. Luckily, Co-Creative Direct Jesse Rapczak shed some light on the question to ease curiousity.

The realm of possibility isn't that far fetched, though there are no concrete plans at this time. Not for the lack of want, however, but that there is "a lot of work" that would need to be done in order to make that happen that they haven't decided is worth the push or not. With several expansion packs lined up on the horizon and consistent server updates, the team behind the title definitely have their hands full so it makes sense that the Nintendo Switch isn't at the top of the priority list.

Rapczak told DualShockers that the team was incredibly excited to see the success that the Switch has been having since launch, especially so with the third party support that continues to grow. Though their technology is ready for the portable console, the memory adaptation on the Switch and optimization quirks are something that they would need to spend some serious time on. For now, the expansions and maintenance take priority.

Who knows what lies in store for the dino title but it is exciting to see more and more developers pledge their support to the Big N. ARK: Survival Evolved is available now on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
