With Dragon Quest XI set to debut on the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation 4 (and, eventually, the Nintendo Switch) in Japan this summer, Square Enix is hyping the forthcoming sequel like crazy. And that means introducing some…uh, rather interesting new products.

Among these products is a line of new eye drops produced by Japanese pharmaceutical company Rohto, branded with the Dragon Quest name. The eye drops are meant to help relieve the vision of tired gamers and other people who’s eyes get a little irritated.

So how can you tell that they’re official Dragon Quest eye drops? Simple – the bottle actually resembles that of a blue slime in the game. Yes, you’re practically putting slime in your eyes, if you think about it that way.

According to DualShockers, the eye drops are available in a standard version, and also with a special Contact version for those with contact lenses. There’s also a Pro version, in case someone needs to go a little extreme with eye drops. In case they’re extra red, or something.

The official product page for the Dragon Quest eye drops is now officially open, and to further celebrate the occasion, Rohto has released a pair of commercials to highlight just how the eye drops work, which you can see below – one with a normal guy and the other with a Dragon Quest type character. You may also recognize the backdrop in these commercials, as it resembles the classic set-up from earlier games in the Dragon Quest series.

There’s very little chance we’ll see the eye drops released here, so if you’re curious – and probably don’t mind paying a little extra for shipping – then you’re free to order them directly from the store. Who knows, it just might get you in the mood for Dragon Quest XI when it eventually releases here in the States, which could be sometime later this year. It all depends on what Square Enix announces during the Electronic Entertainment Expo next week.

In the meantime, let the slime take care of all your pain. Hey, Rohto, when are you introducing Band Aids? And slime cough syrup? Let’s see how they help our injuries.
