Despite some of the complaints still coming from fans for not having a “complete” game, the developers are bringing some fresh new content for Friday the 13th: The Game players that will keep the kills coming in.

The team updated the official Friday the 13th: The Game Twitter account with details on what’s coming our way, including eight new emotes that will be added to improve communication in the game. According to them, you’ll be able to use three different reactions: “Follow me,” “No,” and “Okay.” Simple, but effective when you’re trying to get away from a psycho killer. Check out the tweet below.

In addition, Gun Media also confirmed that the game will receive three new map variants that will provide some room to run around. Be warned, though, as these will be 40-percent smaller so that games will run a little faster. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!

There’s no word on when the maps and emotes are expected to arrive, but they’re due in an upcoming patch for the game, and will apparently be free of charge, so we’ve got that to look forward to.
Gun Media and Illfonic are also hard at work on other features for the game. Friday the 13th: The Game‘s single-player content is still on the way, and the team recently announced a patch that will remove weapon-based team-killing, which will stop them from being able to take out fellow counselors with weapons. That said, they’ll still be able to do fundamental damage to them utilizing cars and traps, so if they’re still feeling sadistic, they can go about it that way.
More updates are likely to come in the months ahead as Gun Media and Illfonic continue to improve the performance of the game and give us the, ahem, “killer” title that we truly deserve. Hang tight, Jason fans!
Friday the 13th: The Game is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
