Injustice 2 Watchtower Stream Announced for Tomorrow, Hopes High for DLC Reveals

For the first time since launch, we have an exciting Injustice 2 Watchtower livestream on the way tomorrow at 3PM central. And, for the first time since launch, we’re hoping for some big surprises. With several DLC characters teased but not revealed, a game-changing patch newly released, Red Hood teasing everyone with some sick looking gear, and a few questionable tweets, fans are hoping for a few reveals tomorrow. We’re here to help you manage your expectations. So what will tomorrow’s Watchtower stream cover?

Let’s tackle things in descending order according to probability. The most likely topic for tomorrow’s stream will be the new update. Update 1.04 just dropped and it contained a huge number of changes, tweaks, balances, and additions. You can find the full list of patch notes and changes here, but there have been a fair number of buffs and nerfs. We’ll likely hear all about those and how the team at NetherRealm is working to make the game more balanced and stable than ever.

Now the good stuff…

Red Hood Details and Availability

The update also provided some really interesting new takes on the character select screen. The internet was flooded of images of Red Hood, who appeared on the roster in various bits of gear, though he wasn’t actually available to purchase and use quite yet. NetherRealm Creative Director Ed Boon offered an answer to everyone inquiring about our new anti-hero:

And if you think Red Hood looks cool there, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Some of the loadouts we saw pictured from players who fiddled with Red Hood from the character select screen are incredible. You can see a full round-up of Red Hood’s high-end gear right here.

More DLC Character Surprises?

The character select screen was also flanked on both sides by some interesting new silhouettes, proving that NetherRealm loves to tease and troll us. Fans have been speculating who these new characters might be, and we made our own guesses right here. To add fuel to the fire, Ed Boon even retweeted a very specific guess for one of these character slots:

This would make sense, since Constantine has already showed up in the game as a Multiverse event support skill (see here). Perhaps tomorrow while we discuss Red Hood, the Watchtower crew will shed some new light on our other DLC characters as well? We know we still have at least six more whose identities remain hidden, so there’s plenty of room for surprises.
