While many games have announced end-of-service for the PS4, Marvel Rivals took things in the opposite direction. On September 12th, the game arrived on the prior-gen PlayStation console for the first time. Now, gamers on the PS4 can jump into the free-to-play superhero shooter and join in the action for Season 4. To celebrate the influx of new players, NetEase is offering a free code to get an Iron Man skin in Marvel Rivals. While not a new skin, it’s still a great opportunity for players who missed it the first time around to snag some new cosmetics.

The free Marvel Rivals code on offer will unlock the Iron Man Armor Model 42 skin. It is valid from now until December 18th, so you’ve got a few months to cash in on code SNMRIronman in Marvel Rivals. This costume was first offered in December 2024, with a code that expired in March 2025. So, early adopters may already have this skin, but newer players may well have missed out on the free Iron Man cosmetic. If this is your first time redeeming a code in Marvel Rivals, here’s what you need to know.
How to Redeem the Free Iron Man Skin Code in Marvel Rivals
The Armor Model 42 skin in Marvel Rivals is once again available for free with a special code. The costume is based on Iron Man’s appearance in the comic Iron Man (2012) #1. It gives the suit a sleek black and gold look, as pictured in the official post about the new free code from @MarvelRivals on X:
To get the free skin, you’ll need to redeem the code SNMRIronman in-game by following these steps. Though the code is released as a celebration of the game’s arrival on PS4, it should work on any platform where you can play Marvel Rivals.
First, launch Marvel Rivals and open the main menu. Then, head to the Settings area. From there, look for the Bundle Code option. This is a bit confusing, but it does work for individual codes as well as bundles.
In the Bundle Code area, copy/paste or type the Marvel Rivals code you’re trying to use. Then, click “Redeem.” If all goes according to plan, you should see a preview of the reward, indicating it’s been added to your inventory.
For this specific Iron Man costume code, you have until December 17th, 2025 to redeem. If you play Iron Man in Marvel Rivals and don’t yet have this one, you will definitely want to grab it so you can mix up your look in the game. That said, codes are just one way that Marvel Rivals gives away free skins in the game, however, so there are a few other opportunities you may want to check out.
Other Free Skins in Marvel Rivals Right Now (Or Arriving Soon)
In addition to the free code to unlock the Iron Man costume, Marvel Rivals has a few other ways to snag freebies this month. Per usual, there is a Twitch Drop promotion going on to celebrate the start of a new season. For Season 4, the Twitch Drops will feature a Will of Galacta Skin for the relative newcomer, Blade.
Along with the Twitch drops, Marvel Rivals Season 4 will also bring in the next wave of Summer Special Event skins. This includes a free The Thing Rocky Tide costume, which players can unlock by completing event tasks from September 18th until the event ends.
Many of the Summer Skins are locked behind the paid Premium event pass, but The Thing is free so long as you earn it in time.
Along with these opportunities, college students can trial a rotating catalog of free Marvel Rivals skins with the College Student Perks program that began in Season 3. In all, there are a good number of options to snag a few cosmetic upgrades for free in Marvel Rivals this month.
