We already knew that Namco Museum for Nintendo Switch was blissfully loaded with a number of great retro titles. But now, Bandai Namco Games has added another treat that will be right at home with classic GameCube owners.
The company has announced that Pac-Man Vs. will be included in the collection when it releases this summer. This game was initially launched on the GameCube more than a decade ago, with connectivity abilities with the Game Boy Advance that allowed players to join in a multiplayer session, with one player controlling Pac-Man and the others taking control of ghosts out to get him.

There’s no word yet on how this will be set up on the Nintendo Switch, but, to keep things simple, Bandai Namco Games just might make it compatible with online play, so others can join in and chase after Pac-Man to their heart’s content. We’ll let you know what the final solution is once the game releases.
Pac-Man Vs. joins a number of other titles in the collection, including Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, Galaga, Galaga ’88, The Tower of Druaga, Rolling Thunder, SkyKid and Tank Force, along with the exclusive additions Splatterhouse and Rolling Thunder 2, two of Bandai Namco’s cult favorites from the 80’s era.
In addition to the full line-up of games, Namco Museum will also include online leaderboards, along with options to play the games horizontally or vertically, depending on what kind of viewpoint you want from the original arcade games. Challenge modes will also be introduced to each game, enabling new abilities to let you play in different ways, along with bonus items to unlock once you meet certain criteria within each game.
There’s no word yet if Pac-Man Vs. will have these bonuses, or will just be a straight port of the GameCube game. Nevertheless, it’s a quality addition that helps extend the replay value of Namco Museum, which had enough to go around already. Plus, it enables this cult classic to shine again, and let people enjoy the classic Pac-Man in a whole new light โ competitively!
Namco Museum will release sometime this summer for Nintendo Switch.
