A new first-person shooter just recently released on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is one of the most popular Xbox Game Pass games right now. While October looks poised to be an absolutely massive month for the subscription service, with eight day-one games, there are some games added this month that shouldn’t be lost in the anticipation, because some of them are gems.

Right now, the most-played Xbox Game Pass at the Standard tier is Wobbly Life, which has a 97/100 user rating. So it’s not too surprising to see it atop the Game Pass charts. It’s not the only new addition near the top of the charts, though. In addition to this, the #3 most-played Xbox Game Pass Standard game right now is the first-person shooter, I Am Your Beast, which was also added this month. And like Wobbly Life, it has a very high user review score. In fact, its user review score is higher than both Wobbly Life and the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate juggernaut, Hollow Knight: Silksong.
A Fan-Favorite Revenge Thriller
While I Am Your Beast only came to Xbox consoles this month, it has actually been on PC since September of the previous year. To this end, it is one of the highest-rated games of 2024 when filtering by user reviews. After 3549 user reviews, for example, it has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam. This is the highest rating a PC game can earn on Steam, and is thanks to a 98% approval rating. Those on Xbox aren’t enjoying it quite as much, as it only has a 4/5 on the Microsoft Store, but Game Pass subscribers specifically are checking it out in good numbers.
In the game, you play a retired secret agent named Alphonse Harding, who has been brought back into a world he left six years ago after the military-industrial complex that used to employ him now targets him.
How long I Am Your Beast is going to be available via Xbox Game Pass, we do not know. What we do know is that it is available via all tiers minus Xbox Game Pass Core. And as long as it is available via the subscription service, subscribers can save 20% on an outright purchase of the $19.99 game.
Those who decide to check out the first-person shooter should expect a game that lasts about two to five hours, on average. Meanwhile, and as always, feel free to leave a comment letting us know what you think, or join the conversation on the ComicBook Forum.
