Nintendo had one hell of an Electronic Entertainment Expo presence, between key announcements that shook up its community (Pokemon! Metroid!), as well as presentations for forthcoming games that blew our minds.

So, just how busy will Nintendo's forthcoming year be? The company just laid out a calendar indicating what big releases are on the horizon, and while it's not quite complete – you'll notice certain games missing, like Steep and Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition – it's still a pretty stacked year.

The company's line-up for Nintendo Switch begins with ARMS, which just released this past weekend. After that, for summer, we've got Splatoon 2, Fate/Extella, Minecraft Realms, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle and Sonic Mania to look forward to.

Fall is going to be even busier, between Fire Emblem Warriors, Just Dance 2018, FIFA 18, Pokken Tournament DX, NBA 2K18, Lego Worlds, and, of course, Super Mario Odyssey.

Then comes winter, and we'll see games like Rocket League, Sonic Forces, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Again, more announcements could be made, but that's the line-up thus far.

As for the 3DS, it's a little barren in comparison, but there are some notable games. Coming out this Friday is Ever Oasis, a new role-playing adventure for the system. Then, in summer, we'll get Miitopia, Hey! Pikmin and Metroid: Samus Returns.

From there, we'll go into the fall with Mario + Luigi Superstar Saga Plus Bowser's Minions, as well as Monster Hunter Stories and Fire Emblem Warriors. Finally, the winter wraps up with the release of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon.

We'll keep you updated on any additional releases that get added over the next few months. Keep in mind that this calendar also doesn't include a lot of indie releases that are on their way to the system, so there are more games coming than you may expect.

As for 2018? Nintendo hasn't announced that far ahead just yet, but we'll likely get a Nintendo Direct over the next few months that will outline its forthcoming plans. Let's just enjoy the barrage of games that are coming our way in the meantime, yeah? There are plenty of good ones.
