One of the best Nintendo Switch RPGs is only $6 for a limited time, thanks to an 80 percent discount that makes the Nintendo Switch game cheaper than it has ever been before. The Nintendo Switch game in question is the 2014 Obsidian Entertainment release, South Park: The Stick of Truth. For those who do not recognize the former, it is now the Xbox-owned studio known for its many great RPGs over the years, such as Fallout: New Vegas, The Outer Worlds, and South Park: The Stick of Truth. It has also, on occasion, experimented beyond the RPG genre, putting out games like Grounded and its sequel, the latter of which was recently released and is proving to be a major success. Meanwhile, the latter is a 2014 RPG considered the best South Park game to date and one of the best RPGs of its generation.
Sequel Also Discounted
Not only is South Park: The Stick of Truth its lowest price ever on the Nintendo Switch eShop, but its 2017 sequel, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, is also on sale and 80 percent off. However, its starting price is more expensive than its predecessor, so its discount only drops the price to $11.99, down from $59.99. This Nintendo eShop deal is also only available until September 11.
Not Feeling the New Season
With the new season of South Park currently live and creating controversy, it’s a great time to revisit South Park: The Stick of Truth. Not only is the new South Park season creating headlines, but it’s divided South Park fans. If you are one of these South Park fans not impressed with the new season, The Stick of Truth may give you the fix you are looking for. It’s essentially a whole, interactive season of the show, and some of the best South Park content to date. Its sequel isn’t quite as good, but is still a solid follow-up.
South Park: The Stick of Truth may be 11 years old, but it doesn’t look or play like a 2014 game. It simply looks and plays like a South Park game, and thus, in this regard, it has aged very well. Some of the humor and satire may be a little dated, at times, though.
