The Pokemon Center retail stores in Japan have released a new “Alolan Festival” merchandise line that features Pikachu enjoying the tropical sun in an adorable vacation outfit. As you can see in the photo gallery above, Pikachu is sporting a fashionable Hawaiian shirt and straw hat, it’s also wearing a cute t-shirt with a Pyukumuku on it.

As its name suggests, the Alolan Festival line features mostly Pokemon from the Alola region first seen in Pokemon Sun and Moon. Much of the merchandise is geared towards a trip to the beach, with tropical-themed beach bags, flip-flops, and towels all decked out in floral patterns with subtle Pokemon accents mixed in.

Besides the adorable Pikachu plush, the highlight of the merchandise line is probably a straw vacation hat with Pikachu ears. The ears are even detachable, although we’re not sure why you’d ever want to take them off.

Notably, the Alolan Festival line is the first to feature an Alolan Exeggutor plush, albeit in a miniature keychain form.

The new merchandise goes on sale today in and features everything from keychains to plushes to tissue box covers. Prices range from $2 to $35 US dollars. You can check out highlights from the Alola Festival line in the photo gallery above.

Unfortunately, the Alolan Festival plushes and merchandise are only currently available in Japan. However, we’re hoping that Pikachu’s adorable vacation gear will make its way across the Pacific soon, as we really want one of those Pikachu-straw hats.
