“Lugia, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos have been spotted in Pokémon GO!” the email reads. “Have you battled one of these Legendary Pokémon yet? From August 7–14, Zapdos, the Legendary Pokémon that represents Team Instinct, will appear at Raid Battles in the real world. Team up with your fellow Trainers and line up your Pokémon carefully when battling these extremely powerful and rare Legendary Pokémon. Good luck, Trainer. Be prepared for more legendary adventures!”
It’s the last line that stands out for many Pokemon Go fans, especially those who thought that the recent Legendary Madness was coming to an end. Pokemon Go hasn’t given any indication about its plans for the rest of the summer after Zapdos leaves the game next Monday. While they haven’t announced an end date for Lugia, many fans were worried that Legendary Pokemon would also leave the game in the near future.
However, the email adds a bit of evidence to the theory that more Legendary Pokemon are on the way. Pokemon Go is hosting a major event on Monday August 14 in Yokohama, Japan, which many expect will introduce a new Legendary Pokemon into the game. There are still five Legendary Pokemon available for Pokemon Go to use, including Ho-Oh and Mewtwo.
With Zapdos’s departure fast approaching, Pokemon Go will have to announce its next plans soon. Hopefully, it includes more Legendary Pokemon for players to battle and capture for the rest of the fall.
