Earlier this week we broke the news of which original Xbox games were coming to the Xbox One via a newly revamped backwards compatibility list. There were some favourites making their way onto the list, including BloodRayne 2, Ninja Gaiden Black, Red Faction II, and … the one we’re most excited about: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Even better is that the graphics have all been enhanced to be more up to par with current technology. Afterall, much has changed since the time of the OG Xbox system. As much as we absolutely adore BioWare’s Knights of the Old Republic, it doesn’t take much to see that it just did not age well. Luckily, especially for those that may no longer have their older systems, there’s a new way to play and it’s going to be fantastic!

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Like most BioWare games, the narrative is heavily influenced by the decisions you make. Are you the hero, or the villain? Every choice matters, and every action has a consequence. You can even get a little lovin’ with some in-game romance withย two of the game’s main characters. For males, Bastillaย Shan is the object of romantic affection, whereas females have the Carthย Onasiย option. It wasn’t until later games thatย BioWareย started recognizing the want from gamers for a wider span ofย LIsย (Love Interests) in-game, including same sex options.
Even though it first game out back in 2003, it is still considered a highly beloved game. And lucky for fans and newcomers to the series, it will be available on the Xbox One soon!
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is now available for Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS devices withย it arriving on the Xboxย One October 24th!
