The Wii U may not have been everyone's favorite system on the market – its odd design and lack of third-party support pretty much doomed it right from the start – but it definitely had its moments with some great games, including Mario Kart 8 and Bayonetta 2, as well as many others.

But one creative user has managed to take his Wii U game system to the next level, being able to transform it into a machine that's not only Windows 10 compatible, but also capable of running pretty much every Wii U game it can with the help of an emulator.

A YouTube user who goes by the name of Banjo Kazooie (nice name) has done some configurations for the system and has basically turned it into a Windows PC of sorts. Not a full blown PC mind you, since there's no keyboard or any sort of excessive features that you'd find on, say, a gaming laptop, but, as you can see from the video, there's some interesting compatibility here.

Not only can the system run Windows 10, but Banjo Kazooie was also able to install the Wii U emulator program Cemu, which has been noted of in the past with people interested in playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild On PC. Through this program, the games actually run pretty flawlessly on the system, as originally intended – and as a result, it's a pretty damn spectacular touch-up.

The device, according to the user, utilizes a number of great features, including a Full Touch 2K LCD screen (so it looks a little better than the default screen), an Intel M5 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB SSD, Bluetooth, WiFi, 128GB SD Card and Battery monitoring software with an automatic shutdown function, according to GameZone. That's pretty impressive, even for current modding skills.

It's unlikely that Banjo Kazooie will be doing custom jobs for the Wii U, since this seems to be just a one-time thing as far as mods are concerned. Still, this is pretty good work, and makes proper use of a system that won't be seeing that many more new games. Check out the video above for the full lowdown!
