Those of you who like old-school action are in for some good news later this summer, as Inti Creates will be bringing a trio of action games to the Nintendo Switch.

The company announced during the recent BitSummit event that the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack, which consists of both Azure Striker Gunvolt and its follow-up, will be coming out on August 31st. A price point hasn't been given yet, but it's expected to be around $30. The game will feature both HD Rumble and Pro Controller support, as well as a faster framerate and a number of additional DLC in the package, like new bosses and stages.

For those that can't wait that long to get some Gunvolt action going on, you won't have to. Another game, Mighty Gunvolt Burst, has also been dated for the system. This is more of an old-school approach, reflecting on the original 8-bit style Gunvolt. The game features both Gunvolt and the addition of a secondary character, Mighty No. 9's Beck, as they battle against evil forces. Players can put together "burst" combos to defeat enemies, and work off a very deep customization system, depending on what kind of action they're looking for within the game.

This game sells for only $10 (per version), and will arrive on Nintendo Switch on June 15th, followed by a release on the Nintendo 3DS on June 29th. It should more than keep you occupied before the release of the two-pack later in the summer.

You can check out the official trailer for Mighty Gunvolt Burst below, and get an idea of what kind of 8-bit presentation that the game will provide. It's definitely got the same old-school vibes as other products that Inti Creates has recently offered, and should be an ideal indie favorite for both the Switch and the 3DS – especially for its given price.

We'll let you know once the Striker Pack has an official price point, as well as a release trailer that provides a glimpse as to what to expect from that particular experience. It should be fun – especially if you've grown quite familiar with the Gunvolt games.
