When you're a fan of superheroes and comics in general, debates and comparisons between them are bound to happen and are rather expected. When it comes to proving that Spider-Man is better than the rest, though, Tom Holland has a simple but effective reply.

Holland will be making his solo feature debut in Spider-Man: Homecoming and the actor recently told THR that the web-slinger is, in fact, his favorite superhero, but not just because he got the coveted role.

"Spider-Man, and I'm not saying that now because I am Spider-Man. It's been Spider-Man since I was a little kid."

It shouldn't be surprising then that he viewsSpidey above the rest of his superhero comrades, including Batman. Holland went on to describe a long-running debate between him and his friend Harrison about who was better, Spider-Man or Batman. After getting the part, Holland figured out the perfect response.

"My best friend Harrison, his favorite is Batman, and for years we've had an argument on who would win in a fight, Spider-Man or Batman. I win every argument now. I'm like "You know how I know? Because I am Spider-Man, so...shut your face."

Holland's debut in Captain America: Civil War was widely praised, but as for what this newest version of the character will bring, Holland described it as more youthful.

"You've seen the billionaire, the scientist, the soldier. Now it's time to see the kid. And every decision we make on set is based off how would a kid react in this situation, so every fight scene we have is designed in a way that's almost child-friendly, so he never actually punches anyone. It's all done kind of by accident. I think the biggest difference is his youth and innocence."

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
