The internet was abuzz last week when a photo of a Scarlett Johansson lookalike was discovered on reddit. Now, Johansson wants to meet her elderly doppelgänger.
On Wednesday, the movie star extended an invitation to join ScarJo and her crew at the premiere of her new move, Rough Night.

“I have been inundated with emails and message about how much we look alit, and I had to look at the photo myself. Holy crap. I want to meet you in person,” Johannson said in a video invitation. “I saw that you were, quote, ‘drunk as a skunk’ when taking the photo and I would like to see your drunk face. I want to share a drunk face with you. Let’s have a drink, Geraldine.
“Do you want to come see Rough Night with me? Be my guest. We’re doing a bunch of partying girls, so it is a good running theme, and I’ll over all your hidden costs. I’ll see you are the bar. Be there or be square.”
Originally posted by Reddit user denverjoel, the photo was of their grandmother in her younger days; the blond-haired woman did bear an uncanny resemblance to the Ghost in the Shell actress.
Once the photo began gaining massive traction on Reddit, denverjoel left another comment on the thread to reveal what the Scarlett Johansson lookalike grandma had to say about the image.
“Just posted this on there. It was in 1967 at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, OK. I called her and she said, ‘Oh sh*t, that picture? I was drunk as a skunk!” denverjoel wrote.
One Reddit user even quipped that they want to see a current photo of this grandmother in order to see how the 32-year-old Avengers actress will age.
Just by taking one quick glance at the picture, it’s clear to see that this Reddit user’s grandmother shares the same distinctive facial features as Johansson. The two woman have strikingly similar eyes, noses, and overall bone structure. The biggest difference, if there really is one, is in their smiles.
No word yet on if Geraldine will accept the invitation.
