Marvel Comics has provided ComicBook.com with a first look at the February solicitations for the Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: The Black Vortex crossover event. The story begins in the one-shot Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: The Black Vortex – Alpha, and continues in the pages of Guardians of the Galaxy, Legendary Star-Lord, and All-New X-Men.

When the intergalactic crime boss Mr. Knife get his hands on the ancient relic called The Black Vortex, Star-Lord decides to take it from him. However, he's going to need the help of both the Guardians of the Galaxy and the X-Men if he's going to keep Mr. Knife's slaughter squad from taking it back. But can the Guardians and the X-Men resist the temptation to use the The Black Vortex themselves?
