Sony Pictures’ animated, yet untitled Spider-Man movie has moved its release date.

The film which was announced at CinemaCon, at the same time as Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, was originally set to debut on December 21, 2018. Now, the film will arrive a week earlier, on December 14, 2018.

The animated Spider-Man film which comes from the studio which previously delivered Sam Raimi‘s Spider-Man trilogy and a pair of Amazing Spider-Man movies with Andrew Garfield in the lead will star Shameik Moore as Miles Morales. Moore is best known as the breakout star of Dope and has since lent his talents to the hit Netflix series, The Get Down. He is joined by The Wolverine actor’s Leiv Schriber who will voice the villain of the film, who has not yet been revealed.

Miles Morales first appeared in Marvel ComicsUltimate Fallout #4 in August of 2011. Since, the character has become a staple of Marvel Comics as a New York City teenager of Black Hispanic descent.

The animated Spider-Man film was originally suspected of being canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though no official comment has come along since the 2016 announcement. This animated adventure will come after Spider-Man: Homecoming which is a joint venture between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, which debuts this July.

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine — distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts, from a screenplay by Jonathan M. Goldstein & John Francis Daley and Watts & Christopher Ford and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers, and stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters July 7, 2017.
