Dave Bautista‘s Drax is one of the highlights of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but for him, there is another Marvel hero he’s looking forward to this year. That would be Spider-Man, and he shared some interesting information about Marvel’s status with the wall-crawler.

Bautista appeared on the Chris Jericho podcast (via ScreenRant), where he was asked what MCU movie he was most looking forward to. In answering he might have revealed some in-process plans for the studio. “Spider-Man is the one I’m really looking forward to. I love that kid โ€“ I love Tom Holland. I also love that they’re staying so true to the comics with this whole series and I think that’s because Marvel Studios has gotten involved. I think before, I think it was Sony who had control. And I think they’re doing a partnership now, but I think they will โ€“ I don’t know this for sure โ€“ but I think they’re going to re-acquire Spider-Man.”

He does say he isn’t for sure, so this could just be speculation on his part. Still, it has been a hot topic of discussion since Spider-Man successfully debuted in the MCU courtesy of his appearance in Captain America: Civil War. There are many who would love Marvel Studios to get full control of the character back from Sony, but with Sony announcing new movies based on Venom, with rumored other films like Black Cat and Silver Sable in development, that seems like a pipe dream. Still, in Hollywood, anything can happen.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither). The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana (Star Trek Into Darkness) as Gamora; Dave Bautista (Spectre) as Drax; Vin Diesel (Furious 7) as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper (American Sniper) as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker (Jumper) as Yondu; Karen Gillan (The Big Short) as Nebula; and Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls) as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff (Oldboy), Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby, Everest), Chris Sullivan (The Knick, The Drop) and Kurt Russell (The Hateful Eight, The Thing).

Next up for Marvel is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which is in theaters now. Spider-Man: Homecoming lands on July 7, 2017, followed by Thor: Ragnarok on November 3, 2017. After that Black Panther debuts on February 16, 2018, while Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4, 2018. Ant-Man and the Wasp is slated for July 6, 2018, followed by Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019.
