Deadpool wants to take over Thanksgiving, and he's made a compelling case in this first official poster.
As you know the merc with a mouth graced the cover of Good Housekeeping, but he wasn't done there. Inside the magazine (which is being distributed by street teams in various cities), Deadpool can be seen hosting a Thanksgiving dinner with the crazy character from the film.
With Cable standing behind him, Deadpool serves a turkey to the whole cast, and you can view it below.
In addition to Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Cable (Josh Brolin), Morena Baccarin's Vanessa, T.J. Miller's Weasel, Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Zazie Beetz' Domino, Stefan Kapicic's Colossus, Leslie Uggams Blind Al, and Karan Soni's Dopinder are all surrounding the table, and eagle eyed fans might notice a pic of Stan Lee hanging in the background.
The strength of the cast was one of the biggest highlights from the original, and it looks like they are ready for another go-round. That includes Kapicic, who brought the fan favorite X-Man Colossus to life in the original. While the two heroes have become better friends, don't expect Colossus to follow in Wade's footsteps.
"Ya know Colossus is an old-school superhero, one of the rare ones, the real old school ones. Some sort of Russian gentle soul trying to, not cursing ever or doing bad things. Colossus will always be a superhero that's trying to change bad, half bad, or anti-heroes to heroes, so that's one of his main goals."
Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead will be joined by time traveler Cable and the lucky assassin Domino this time around, and it should be quite entertaining seeing this odd group come together.
Deadpool 2 hits theaters on June 2, 2018.
