When Deadpool hit theaters last year, fans were floored by the superhero film’s raunchy aesthetic. The R-rated flick featured all kinds of language and gore, but it was the movie’s sex scene which got some squirming. Deadpool was not afraid to shy away from Wade Wilson’s sex sexcapade with Morena Baccarin‘s character Vanessa. The couple has some extensive sex scenes strewn throughout Deadpool. However, the actress is now saying she’s happy several of her sex scenes got cut.

Recently, Baccarin appeared on Conan O’Brien and talked about her work with various comic book projects. The star splits her time with DC’s Gotham and the Deadpool film franchise. Talking about the latter, Baccarin said she was pleased Deadpool didn’t make its sex scenes overly risque or drawn out.

“It took two days to shoot [the sex scene], because I think it was us making sweet love for an entire calendar year so it was all the holidays you know. So we dressed differently for every one,” she explained.

“We ended up leaving just a lot on the cutting room floor, because there are a lot of holidays. And I feel good about that—the part that was left out. I literally mean that [was] enough sex. Like nobody needs to see more than what was in the movie.”

Still, Deadpool did manage to cover a lot of time within its sex montage. The couple were seen banging on a handful of holidays like Valentine’s Day, International Women’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and more.

For now, there is no telling what kind of voyeuristic shenanigans the pair may get up to in Deadpool 2. The much-anticipated film recently confirmed its casting for Domino and Cable after lots fan speculation. With a release date now attached to the film, Baccarin will have some time to prepare before 20th Century Fox asks her to cozy up with Wade Wilson one or twelve more times.

The Deadpool sequel, which is being directed by David Leitch (John Wick, Atomic Blonde) and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin filming at the end of this spring. The film will introduce Deadpool’s time-traveling mutant partner, Cable, as well as X-Force member Domino, who is being portrayed by Atlanta actress Zazie Beetz. Supporting characters from the original film โ€” such as Colossus (voiced by Stefan Kapicic), Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and taxi driver Dopinder (Karan Soni) โ€” are also expected to return.
