If you’re chomping at the bit to learn how the Netflix superheroes will cross paths in Marvel’s latest series, a new clip offers a new hint toward The Defenders‘ formation.

The video, courtesy of the official Twitter account for Marvel’s Luke Cage, shows Harlem’s Hero set to be released from jail courtesy of help from Foggy Nelson, featuring actors Mike Colter and Elden Henson. Check it out above!
In the clip, Foggy presents Luke with a business card for his new firm Hogarth, Chao, and Benowitz. The clip takes place in the beginning of the first episode, setting the collision course into motion.
We saw Foggy take a new job with Jeri Hogarth at the end of Daredevil Season 2 after his partnership (and friendship) with Matt Murdock hits the rocks. It’s unclear why he’s helping Luke at this point, who returned to prison after the events of the first season of his own series.
We’ve already seen the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’s first meeting with Jessica Jones in the first trailer for the Defenders. We’re looking forward to seeing the rest of the heroes come together and the dire circumstances that forces such a meeting.
The four superheroes of New York City, and their various allies, will have their hands full when they go up against the Hand and their lethal enforcer, the resurrected Elektra. Each character has their own problems to deal with, and teaming up to take on this threat will not be easy.
โจIt’s almost time to find out how it all goes down, with the Defenders premiering on Netflix August 18th.
Marvel’s The Defenders follows Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Iron Fist (Finn Jones). A quartet of singular heroes with one common goal โ to save New York City. This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together.
