In this day and age, it’s actually difficult sometimes to make an impression, just due to the sheer amount of artist riches out there on the internet. The good news for artist Van Camelot (real name Ivan Camelo) is that his artistic style doesn’t have any issues with sticking out from the crowd.

Camelot’s style is a unique mix of hard lines, expressive facial work, and loads of bold colors. Even with the more stylized visuals, he manages to fit some more aggressive expressions in, as you can see in his Joker, Asajj Ventress, Furiosa, and Vegeta pieces. He’s able to do the same with more joyful expressions as well, like with Kitty Pryde, Phoenix, and Green Lantern. One of his newest pieces is themed after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which you can view along with several other highlights in the gallery.
While the lines are distinct, there’s plenty of motion in his group pieces, as you can see in the Avengers and X-Men pieces. There’s plenty to love in his portfolio, and you can view more of his work on Deviant Art, Facebook, and Twitter.
