The series is written by Al Ewing with art by Jonboy Meyers, but Marvel has revealed that Meyers will not be drawing issue #4 (via Bleeding Cool). They haven’t released any details on why the change has bene made, only that Meyers is being replaced by artist Thony Silas. Meyers will still provide the issue’s cover, but it is unclear if he will come back to the book for future issues.

If he does end up leaving the book permanetly, that would be the second book in the span of a year that he left unexpetedly. Last year he helped launch the ongoing Teen Titans series at DC alongside Ben Percy. He surprising many fans when he walked off the book in October, citing creative differences as the reason. He then hopped on to Royals, which kicks off after the events of Inhumans vs. X-Men. Before he committed to Royals however he was working on designs for X-Men: Gold, but later decided to go a different direction.

You can find the official descriptions for Royals #1 and #4 below.

A myth from the future. A quest to the far stars. A legend written across galaxies. Guided by the other-dimensional Kree warrior known as Marvel Boy, the Inhuman Royal Family departs on an odyssey across all creation on search for lost secrets โ€” and the last hope โ€” of their people. Penned by fan-favorite Al Ewing (The Ultimates, New Avengers, Loki: Agent of Asgard) and drawn by the white-hot Jonboy Meyers (Teen Titans, Spawn), ROYALS is a Marvel-style space epic that takes the Inhuman Royal Family and plunges them into the unknown! The knowledge they seek could change the course of Inhuman destiny, but it cannot be attained without cost…for at the end of days, the Last Inhuman tells the tale of how seven left Earth for the stars…but only six returned.

Welcome to the ruins of Hala! Once, this world was ruled by a noble family, promising a new dawn for the Kree Empire. But then…the House of Boltagon decided they had better things to do. And in their absence, Hala died. Now the Royals stand accused โ€” and Ronan, last survivor of Hala, is the Accuser!

Royals #4 is in stores on June 21.
