Looking through Funko’s POP portfolio, you’ll notice a plethora of characters from Marvel’s cinematic universe and their comic book lines have made their way into the popular line. That said, the universe just continues to expand, and even without new additions, Marvel’s roster of characters wasn’t exactly small.

That’s why we wanted to comb through all the current and vaulted Funko offerings and see who needed a new POP release. The list we’ve put together does include a few who have received POPs already but are either in need of a new one due to new characters taking on the role or new versions showing up on film or TV.
Some on the list are characters who have yet to get their own POP in the first place and are incredibly overdue for a place on your collectible shelf. Whether you take them out of the box because you can’t help yourself (like me) or you leave them in for the collectibility factor, these 5 picks will hopefully make their way to the lineup someday.
Spider-Woman Silk Two-Pack
Marvel’s iconic web-slinger has left his mark on the Funko POP line. It already contains several versions of the character, including his classic comic costume, Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales Spider-Man, black suit spidey, and three versions from his most recent film appearances.
Suffice it to say the web-head is quite popular, but as for the other members of the Spider-verse, there is only the lone Spider-Gwen. It seems there’s some opportunity to expand that a bit, so Funko could introduce a two-pack featuring Spider-Woman and Silk.
Along with Spider-Gwen, the three heroes have developed a unique friendship, especially when you consider they have to hop dimensions just to get a cup of coffee together. Plus, each one has proved popular amongst fans for their unique personalities and characteristics, and are more than deserving of the POP treatment.
The set should feature Jessica Drew in her recent costume redesign and could come with a baby Gerry in a small car seat, as he was one of the focal points of their last adventure together.

Gambit And Rogue Two-Pack
Marvel has been much more open to releasing X-Men related product lately,ย and Funko has taken advantage of this newfound availability by releasing a new wave of X-Men POPs. The line includesย classic takes on Archangel, Cable, Psylocke, Quicksilver, Storm (Mohawk), and Sabretooth. Since the floodgates are open for the moment, Funko needs to get a few more waves out while they can.
Rogue and Gambit are not only two of the most beloved mutants in Marvel’s canon but are also regarded as one of the most iconic couples in comics. Essentially they are the Ross and Rachel of the X-Men and should be included in their classic looks in a two-pack.
That means Gambit should have his pink, black, and blue costume, alongside the classic green and yellow version of Rogue. Gambit should have two cards in his hand, with an optional bo staff, and Rogue should be shown hovering in mid-air.
As a chase variant, Rogue should have her green and white hooded look (seen below) and for Gambit it could feature his look during his Horseman of Death phase.

Ghost Rider Agents Of Shield
The spirit of vengeance has received a surge of new interest thanks to his recent appearance on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, and with only one version of Ghost Rider in the Funko vault, the hero is more than due for a new version.
It only helps that the two versions are completely different. The previous version was based on Johnny Blaze and included more comic stylings. This new version would be based on Robbie Reyes, and the sculpting team at Funko would need to bring their A-game in regards to his flaming skull. The costume is also more streamlined, and if they played their cards right, he would be perfectly suited for a POP Ride figure as well.
When the original released, Funko wasn’t really doing the POP Rides yet, and since Robbie Reyes drives his combustible Dodge Charger, it would make a great addition to the line. Even better for fans, they could pose him right next to Lola and Coulson, which helped kickstart the entire Rides line for Funko and is still one of the most popular entries.

Wolverine (Laura Kinney)
DC is more known for legacy than Marvel, but so far Marvel has done a fantastic job in regards to the legacy of its most popular X-Man Wolverine. Since Logan’s death, the former X-23 Laura Kinney has taken on the mantle of All-New Wolverine and has thrived in the role.
Thus she is quite deserving of a POP of her own, especially since Logan has received a variety of POP’sย already. You can currently find a classic Wolverine (yellow and blue), an X-Force Wolverine (black and gray), and a Logan POP modeled after Hugh Jackman. The biggest issue with those versions is the length of the claws, and since Laura only has two, hopefully, they’ll extend them a bit to make them look deadlier.
Laura should also feature extended foot claws, and as an accessory should come with a pet wolverine, who has become a staple of the book in recent months courtesy of Gabby.

Captan America (Sam Wilson)
When Sam Wilson accepted the shield from Steve Rogers, he immediately became deserving of a new POP. His predecessor has had numerous versions dedicated to both his comic origins and the successful Chris Evans version seen in the Marvel cinematic universe.
Not only that, but Wilson’s Captain America costume is one of the slickest renditions of the outfit in some time, and last time we checked Rogers never had a fully tricked out Redwing at his beck and call. Like the Falcon film POP from Captain America: Civil War, this POP should have the wings out, but would also have the iconic shield bracing for impact in one hand. The sculptorsย have a number of creative poses at their disposal here, and hopefully, they take advantage of it.
As for Redwing, Cap’s stalwart ally should be hovering right above his shoulder, ready to take on anything that stands in Cap’s way.
