New Spider-Man Costume Has Wings

The Spider-Man: Homecoming panel is underway at CCPX and to kick things off, Sony unveiled a new look at exclusive footage from the upcoming film.

In the new footage, a new look at a brand new Spider-Man costume was unveiled exclusively for the attendees at the convention and the resounding response was about the wings on Spider-Man’s costume.

The tweet below recounts the new suit.

In translation from Portugese: “My God, they showed the new Spider-costume! He has his wings under his arm!”

Web wings are a pull from Spider-Man comics, giving the Spider-Suit a look similar to a base jumper wing suit with the Spider-Man design on it. According to other descriptions of the footage, Peter Parker is seen flying before its end. Flying is likely more accurately described as gliding — but it is still an epic new take on Spider-Man for the big screen.

As for a trailer, Sony did not release the first full look at Spider-Man: Homecoming during their presentation but it will be availble soon and attached to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
