Over the years, theaters have welcomed various iterations of Spider-Man to swing onto their screens. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield suited up as the hero on their own before Tom Holland most recently assumed the moniker. With Sony working with Marvel Studios to bring Spider-Man to life, the hero has been able to explore new storylines and characters thanks to his MCU status. And, of course, the vigilante got a pretty sweet costume out of the gig.

Spider-Man fans have been able see the hero’s newest costume in recent promos for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now, fans can see just how Sony and Marvel landed on Peter Parker’s sleek costume. Over on Twitter, new concept art from the hero’s upcoming standalone has dropped, and it spotlight’s Spider-Man’s suit.
“Concept art from #SpiderManHomecoming shows the expressive eyes that are a part of Spidey’s mask!” @MCU_Tweets captioned the artwork.
Thanks to MCU News & Tweets, the Spider-Man concept art is being passed around the Internet. The artwork houses four portraits of Spider-Man in his suit, and the work focuses on his mask in particular. Each of the head-shots show Spider-Man with a different expression as he looks surprised, confused, and even angry.
Of course, fans have gotten to see Spider-Man’s expressive mask already; Captain America: Civil War made sure that Peter’s eye-slits reacted as he fought alongside Iron Man. The teenager told Tony Stark he needed something to dial down his enhanced senses, so his mask’s eye-slits adjust to help him focus. The neat add-on is something unique to the MCU’s take on Spider-Man, and fans have been pleased with the thoughtful perk.
The mask’s features are not the only thing special about Spider-Man’s new suit. Tony Stark loaded up the costume with all kinds of high-tech goodies. Not only does the suit come with a JARVIS-esque AI but it also came loaded with hundreds of web shooter combos. Still, not all of the features are available to Peter from the get-go. A recent Spider-Man: Homecoming promo told fans many of the suit’s protocols are locked by a ‘Training Wheels’ block installed by Iron Man himself.
What a bummer!
