Have you ever wondered what your favorite superhero would look like in Japan’s Feudal Era? Eh, probably not – but you don’t have to stretch your creativity too far to envision the site. Thanks to Tamashii Nations, you don’t have to wonder; You just have to look. The retailer has their very own line of samurai-inspired action figures, and they have now added Captain America to that collection.

As you can see, the figure is an impressive feat. This version of Captain America sports some intimidating headgear and altered footwear to suit his altered time period. The hero still retains his iconic breastplate decor with the star, and his shield has been partitioned into segments. Without a doubt, this is one samurai superhero who you would not want to cross swords with.
Captain America isn’t the first Marvel superhero that Tamashii Nations has reimagined with their Movie Realization series. The company has taken Iron Man and upgraded his sleek armor with samurai pieces. The figure for Tony Stark was designed by Takayuki Takeya, and the amount of detail on the item is staggering.
Spider-Man has also gotten the treatment by Tamashii Nations. Sadly, none of these items are available for purchase in the U.S. yet due to licensing reasons. Of course, you can purchase the pricey figures from secondhand retailers to ship it in as many collectors have already done.
Prior to their superhero stint, the company has given the samurai treatment to another famous franchise: Star Wars.
