Guardians Of The Galaxy Script Praised By Auditioning Actor

Star-Lord Guardians of the Galaxy

While Guardians of the Galaxy just might be the most mysterious of all the upcoming Marvel Studios movies, there is finally some news starting to leak out on the project. Actor Lee Pace has confirmed rumors that he is auditioning for Guardians of Galaxy. In an interview with MTV, Lee Pace said, "Yeah, I go in on Monday to meet them all and audition for it, so wish me luck." Pace continued, "I'm very excited about it. The script is great. The character is a lot of fun." While an actor auditioning for a part probably isn't going to criticize a movie he's trying out for, it's still a good sign that Pace specifically praised the script. While Pace never mentioned exactly what fun character he is auditioning to play, he seemed to go along when the interviewer asked him if he's been reading up on Star-Lord. When the interviewer pushed to see if he will sign a multi-picture deal including maybe the Avengers 2, Pace pointed out that he hasn't gotten the role yet.  Pace said, "We'll see. We'll see. I don't know. They didn't ask me to do it yet. I've got to audition. I've got to go get it."
