Lionsgate has announced the newest film on their slate, and it's bringing two fan-favorite actresses along for the ride.

The Spy Who Dumped Me, an action-comedy from the production company, will be released on July 6th, 2018, according to Deadline. The project will star Mila Kunis (Family Guy, Jupiter Ascending) and Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live, Ghostbusters) as friends Audrey and Morgan.

According to the film's synopsis, the pair's "lives are shifted when Audrey's unassuming ex-boyfriend shows up at their apartment with a team of deadly assassins on his trail. Surprising even themselves, the duo jump into action when two men are shot dead on their floor, grabbing a top-secret thumb drive and taking off on an undercover mission to save the world."

The "high-octane, continent-hopping spy caper" will be directed by Susanna Fogel (Life Partners, Chasing Life) and produced by Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer and Ron Howard.

If the film does keep the July 6th release date, it will be facing some pretty significant competition. Marvel Studio's Ant-Man and the Wasp premieres that weekend, as well as the fourth entry in The Purge franchise. But with these actresses in the lead, The Spy Who Dumped Me is sure to find its audience.
