The Wolverine to be Released in 3D

While it's probably no surprise at this point that any major motion picture, especially a big-budget action movie like The Wolverine, is going to be released in 3D, Fox announced today that the upcoming Hugh Jackman sequel will do just that. Fox Russia, to be exact, as reprinted by Stark Industries and Comic Book Movie. While the last Wolverine movie was a critical disappointment, it did well commercially. Combine that with the fact that The Wolverine will now be the first X-Men film to be released in 3D and you've got what seems likely to be a pretty good haul for the ol' Canucklehead. The Wolverine is directed by James Mangold from a story by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. The movie stars Hugh Jackman, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova. It will be released on July 26.
