On Aug.18, Netflix will unveil Marvel's The Defenders, the crossover miniseries that has been four shows and five seasons in the making. The first four episodes have already been reviewed and sit on Rotten Tomatoes with a favorable 80% score; so hopes are high that The Defenders continues with the quality that the other Marvel shows have set.

Admittedly, all of this Defenders hype got us thinking about the other shows we're excited to see return or debut this fall, which is why ComicBook.com whipped up this list of the 10 Best TV Shows We're Excited About!

Spoiler alert: Every show on the list is based off comic books! (so, if you were hoping to see shows like The Voice or Lethal Weapon make an appearance here, full disclosure - this ain't the list for you.)

Since we were already discussing The Defenders, we might as well come clean: it sits at the No. 2 spot on our list. Consisting of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, the miniseries will feature eight episodes and promises to be the television version of 2012 The Avengers, a crossover event pre-planned far in advance within the Marvel universe, previously set up by singular properties.

Along with the return of the four main characters, we'll also see the return of certain key characters from each individual show, such as Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Carrie Ann-Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Elodie Yung as Elektra, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, to name a few.

Plus, we'll see the debut of Sigourney Weaver as Alexandra, an intelligent adversary described by showrunner Marco Ramirez as "a very powerful force in New York City."

What TV show are you most excited to see? Do you think it made the No. 1 spot? To find out where it landed on the list, click on the video at the top of the article.

And definitely make plans to binge watch The Defenders when it hits Netflix next Friday!
