Aspen Comics, who are publishing a book on The Art of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, announced today that the first 100 purchases of the book will come with a free print signed by director Timur Bekmambetov. The book is a companion to the film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's best-selling novel, which hit theaters last night. To get the free print, you must be among the first 100 readers to buy a hardcover copy of the 128-page book at its $24.99 retail price. Bekmambetov, who also directed the comic book adaptation Wanted, worked closely with Grahame-Smith (who also wrote the screenplay) for the adaptation, which is presumably much closer to the wonderfully-bizarre source material than was Wanted. "Timur's attention to detail and vision for the project, combined with the exquisite artwork for the film in the hands of Aspen's designers, has created an 'art-of' book that is truly unique and visually spectacular," said comics mainstay David Wohl, who served as an editor on the book.
