Drake, who was born in 1950, was found dead by his friend in his home, but the exact cause of his death is not known at this time.

The versatile actor is perhaps best known for his role of the mentally challenged Benny Stulwicz on L.A. Law, even reprising his role in the TV movie. The talented actor even took home two Emmy’s for his work on L.A.Law, but he also made an impression on shows like Tales From The Crypt, Star Trek: Voyager, and Boston Legal.

Drake also filled his career with a multitude of voice over work, including fan favorite series and games like Batman Beyond, Justice League, Johnny Bravo, Green Lantern: First Flight, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I count myself among the people who didn’t realize he voiced so many characters on shows I loved, but his work on those shows will always be appreciated.

“There will always be those people who want to put me in a nice, neat pigeonhole. I think people have to start realizing that what I do is act. What I don’t do is create an image and live by its rules or expectations.”

His varied career speaks to that.
