Ash Vs. Evil Dead: First Four Minutes Released

This Halloween will be filled with tricks and treats, but Starz will have the best treat when it unveils Ash vs Evil Dead. The cable network wants to get you hooked on the new series, so they've provided a taste: the first 4-minutes.

The show opens with Ash getting ready to go out to the local bar to his groove on. He now lives in a trailer, needs a crank-operated girdle to suck in his gut and has a cheap wooden hand to place upon his stump. When he enters the bar he is informed that it will close soon, but Ash only needs ten-minutes, liquor courage and a fictitious hero's tale to land him a devilishly sexy barfly.

Ash vs Evil Dead will be 10 half-hour episodes. Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons – personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its "Evil" grip.

Ash vs. Evil Dead will premiere Saturday, Oct. 31 at 9 p.m. ET on Starz.
