Joss Whedon on The Colbert Report

On Thursday's edition of The Colbert Report, Marvel's The Avengers director Joss Whedon appeared to promote the theatrical release of his micro-budget Shakespeare adaptation Much Ado About Nothing and, of course, to talk about his status as Marvel's Phase II guru. The host, who still has a Captain America shield given to him by Joe Quesada hanging behind his desk, grilled Whedon about his first name, Shakespeare and, of course, The Avengers 2. Asked about the status of Iron Man's arc reactor, since he tossed it into the ocean at the end of Iron Man 3, Whedon joked that the character might, err, find someplace else for it. "Well they just replace it, it's elsewhere," he said, indicating his back end. "I can't give it all away but he's still got it." Check out the interview here, or a teaser clip embedded below.
