Avengers Ant-Man and Spider-Man

The Avengers news just keeps getting better. With the world premiere of The Avengers movie last night, most thought that was a pretty good indication that filming was complete on the movie. Turns out that is not the case. During an Avengers press conference today, Robert Downey Jr. told the audience that the cast was shooting an additional scene tonight. While everyone first laughed, Robert Downey Jr. announced, "I'm not kidding." Of course, even though Robert Downey Jr. said he wasn't kidding, most didn't think he was really serious. Now, Indiewire has confirmed with Mark Ruffalo that Robert Downey Jr. was indeed serious. According to Indiewire, Ruffalo said, "We're shooting a scene tonight. I'm not sure exactly where it's gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, 'Here's some wardrobe. We don't know where you're going to be or what you're doing." Ruffalo also confirmed that the scene would be in The Avengers. This means that The Avengers that arrives in theaters on May 4 will have an additional scene that wasn't shown at the world premiere (and likely won't be shown in the sneak previews this weekend). Now, the big question is what could the Avengers mystery scene be? Is it another after the credits scene? Or could they be inserting a new cameo into the actual movie? Or could there be a secret death scene that will radically change the movie? No one knows, but here are our best guesses. Rumors have been heating up that progress is being made on an Ant-Man movie. Maybe the lead actor for Ant-Man has already been cast, and Marvel Studios is filming an additional scene to add an Ant-Man cameo into The Avengers. Rumors circulated months ago that Spider-Man had a cameo in The Avengers. Even though that proved to be untrue, maybe it got the executives at Sony thinking. Maybe Andrew Garfield was flown in to shoot a Spider-Man cameo with The Avenger, as a way of building buzz for The Amazing Spider-Man movie. Rumors recently broke that Ben Kingsley will be playing a villain in Iron Man 3. Since Iron Man 3 is Marvel Studios next big movie, maybe they are shooting a quick scene that introduces Kingsley's character. Post your best guesses at to the Avengers movie mystery scene in the comments.
