Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is a make or break film for Warner Bros. Not only does it introduce at least 3 (up to 5 if rumours are to be believed) new characters into the mix, but also sets the foundation for DC's entire film universe.

If early pre-release numbers are to be believed, it looks like the film is headed for a successful payday, with early projections putting it in the $132 range domestically, and $300 to $340 million worldwide. The film is opening in most places at the same time, so we should know pretty soon if that number is right or wrong.

Going with the positive outlook, if it hits those lofty numbers it will fall in line behind other superhero films The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Spider-Man 3, and Iron Man 3. Not bad for a film that everyone treated like garbage on a plate at some points, but we will just have to wait and see.
