Frank Grillo, who plays Crossbones in the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, has no plans to appear on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he told Crave Online. "You know, at this point in my career, it's something that I'm not really interested in doing," Grillo said when asked about the prospect of appearing on ABC's Marvel Universe-centric spy series. "I've got my own thing to do on television so you can't really do two at once. Not that I don't want to do it, but it doesn't get me going anymore to do something like that." His "own thing" is DirecTV's Navy St., on which he stars. The villain is apparently a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, as we saw in the theatrical trailer for the film, and ComicBook.com was the first to report not long ago that S.H.I.E.L.D.'s eventual status quo for the film will be affected and reflected in the TV series. Based on set photos and promotional material, it appears as though the film deals principally with a factioning of S.H.I.E.L.D., with Captain America torn between Alexander Pierce and Nick Fury. It's been widely speculated that the rift within S.H.I.E.L.D. may be what the TV series has been hinting at with recent barbs between Coulson and some of his superiors.
