Fan Bingbing is Blink in X-Men: Days of Future Past

Earlier today, ComicBook.com reported that Colossus would return as Daniel Cudmore's headshot was spotted on the wall in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Days of Future Past production office. Who we saw, but couldn't identify at the time, were the two new faces added to the cast. Luckily, we've got it covered now. Fan Bingbing has been cast to play Blink in the film, Deadline reports. Bingbing recently starred in the box office record-breaking Chinese film Double Exposure. Blink is a fan-favorite character--a teleporter who died almost immediately after her first appearance but who has returned over and over again through the years mostly on the strength of her character's portrayal in the '90s X-Men crossover Age of Apocalypse. Why Blink might have been chosen instead of the already-established teleporter Nightcrawler is unclear, but her involvement in that crossover might lend some credence to rumors that started earlier this week that Apocalypse is the film's villain. No word yet on who BooBoo Stewart, who starred alongside Cudmore in the Twilight Saga, might be playing, although a number of fans on Twitter have already speculated he might be Forge.
