Flash TV Series To Include A Love Triangle

In a new interview with the celebrity tabloid site Just Jared Jr., members of the cast of The CW's The Flash have apparently revealed a few details about the show's upcoming first season.

Eddie Thawne, the character many suspect will turn out to be Eobard Thawne (Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash), will apparently start out as friends with Barry -- but there's a girl between them.

It seems most likely that girl will be Iris West, since with Barry already havin had an almost-romance with Felicity Smoak over in Arrow and knowing his unrequited feelings for Iris, it would be odd for him to have a third girl in such a short timespan.

"He's a star detective and he's knew," Rick Cosnett said of his character, Eddie Thawne. "He just got transferred from Keystone City to Central City. Everyone loves him in the precinct because he swoops in and does a really good job. He's a very able man. He's really nice. He is very good at his job. He doesn't have any weird addictions or anything…and I think much to the dismay of Barry because they are friends, and there may or may not be a girl who gets in the way. There's a lot of tension."

Series star Grant Gustin added, "Barry's in love with Iris (Candice Patton), so that will be another fun dynamic."
