Josh Brolin (Oldboy, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For) is one of the of the only actors to admit that he was in serious contention for the "older, wiser version" of the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The role eventually went to Ben Affleck (Gigli), which is fine with Brolin as he has never, and continues to, show no ill will over it.

"I don't have that thing, I wish I did," Brolin told MTV of his lack of jealousy for lost roles. "It would just be more interesting and more competitive, damn him. As much as you guys want to be pissed off, be pissed off, it's all good. Start a f–king riot."

Brolin has actually been one of Affleck's biggest supports, being very outspoken in his support when the internet was lambasting the decision initially. He, like many of us, is eagerly awaiting the film's opening in March. "I'm really curious what he does," Brolin said. "Beyond curious."

In Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice opens March 25, 2016.
