Game Of Thrones: Sibel Kekilli, Lena Headey And Peter Dinklage Talk Tyrion's Trial

Game of Thrones - The Laws of Gods and Men

A large portion of last night episode of Game of Thrones, “The Laws of Gods and Men,” was dedicated to the trial of Tyrion Lannister, accused of regicide for the death of King Joffrey. The trial consisted largely of witnesses, who already had an axe to grind with Tyrion, stepping up to tell the story that Cersei Lannister wanted to hear.

One of the surprises of the trial came when Shae was called as a witness, shocking Tyrion, who had though her long gone from King’s Landing. His shock turned to devastation when Shae lied to implicate both him and Sansa Stark as co-conspirators in Joffrey’s death. Shae then went on to reveal all of the intimate details of her relationship with Tyrion.

In a new video released by HBO, the actors who play the three major roles in the scene – Sibel Kekilli as Shae, Lena Headey as Cersei and Peter Dinklage as Tyrion – discuss Shae’s betrayal of Tyrion.

“I think it’s not easy for her,” says Kekilli, “but I think at the same time, of course, its kind of revenge. And there is no choice. Of course, Cersei told her, so she has to do it.”
