iZombie Recruits One Tree Hill's Robert Buckley

Robert Buckley of One Tree Hill fame has cast as a series regular in Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero's CW drama pilot iZombie, Deadline reports. iZombie is being described as "a supernatural crime procedural that centers on a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner's office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity, but with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse's memories." That's pretty close the comic from Chris Roberson and Mike Allred on which it's based, although pretty much everything else seems to have been adapted for Thomas and Ruggiero's strengths. The report states that Buckley will play Major, "Liz's former fiance who is trying to make the transition to friend." There's  no Liz in the comics, of course, but the main character Gwen was renamed "Liv" for the TV series, so it's likely that the Liz in question is just a typo.
